Breaking News: Dow tops 14,000

NEW YORK - The Dow Jones industrial average closed above 14,000 Thursday
and the Standard & Poor's 500 index also set a record as investors,
having gotten over a bout of economic jitters in the previous session,
focused on mostly upbeat earnings reports.
